Mark Wahlberg joins TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT cast as they roll into London for the world premie
LONDON, UK – 2 February 2017: London was turned upside down by the star-studded event in central London last night to celebrate the world premiere of TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT. Leading the celebrations on the special blue carpet was Mark Wahlberg. The 46-year-old actor, who plays Cade Yeager in the film, confirmed that The Last Knight would be his last appearance in the fan-favourite films. Mark was joined by director Michael Bay, alongside Stanley Tucci, Josh Duhamel, Laura Haddock, Jerrod Carmichael and newcomer Isabella Moner.
To bring the action that much closer to thousands of fans around the world, Paramount Pictures will be hosting Facebook Live Q&A with the director and the cast ahead of the global premiere. Fans got the chance to send their questions to the cast and director by using the hashtag ♯TransformersFanEvent.
The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving the future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving the world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins): and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when people are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
Transformers: The Last Knight comes to cinemas on 23 June.
