Jingling all the way into history, easyJet and its passengers marked Christmas in record breaking st

LONDON, UK – 12 January 2017: The UK airline achieved a Guinness World Records title for the highest altitude carol concert during a flight from London Gatwick to Geneva.

The concert, which lasted 15 minutes on board flight EZY8468, took place at a record-setting altitude of 39,000ft.

Singing tradition festive songs such as Jingle Bells, Silent Night and O Come All Ye Faithful, the performance featured the voices of the ACM Gospel Choir from Surrey, who were recently named Best Gospel Act at the UK Urban Music Awards.

The record attempt formed part of a wider easyJet Christmas celebration which saw passengers singing carols on board flights throughout December.

Paul Moore, Communications Director for easyJet said: "We thought our passengers would enjoy this festive form of in-flight entertainment and to achieve a Guinness World Records title at the same time as filling the plane with seasonal songs is the icing on the Christmas cake! Thanks to the fantastic ACM Gospel Choir, who sang so brilliantly on-board the flight today helping us to achieve this first for both easyJet and Guinness World Records."
